RED CCTV are delighted to support young Manchester boxers.
The Manchester based security specialists were keen to help West Wythenshawe ABC Boxing Club as they prepared to relaunch.
Red CCTV founder Rob Kennedy used to train at the original West Wythenshawe boxing club, which was run by local legend Johnny Fearon on Moor Road in Baguley.
Rob, explained: “I loved boxing and it was a fantastic place to train and spar, and it was such a shame when the old club closed.
“It was terrific that West Wythenshawe ABC was brought back to life and the new venue, the fabulous Royal Oak Community Centre, is a terrific choice.
“The boxing club gives young people an outlet, an opportunity to learn about boxing, about discipline and, of course, an opportunity to get fit and healthy.
“I love going to the gym and seeing the youngsters sparring and even getting involved myself now and then, and take my word for it, there are some real prospects at the club.”
Coaches Clive Smith and Kevin Prendaghast were old sparing partners of Kennedy. Now they coach the next generation of young boxers.
They embarked on a make-over for the gym to get ready for the summer of 2020 and were looking for local businesses to donate funds, equipment, and or time.
Red CCTV provided West Wythenshawe ABC Boxing Club with new equipment and materials to help them complete the make-over.
