Balfour Beatty VINCI has deployed the Halo Shield System as part of their HS2 Covid defence strategy.

They have added the innovative body temperature measuring system at key strategic venues to keep staff, visitors and suppliers safe.

Red CCTV has installed Halo Shield Pods at their headquarters at Brinkley Place in Birmingham City Centre and at the IM building in Coleshill.

The two buildings are crucial operational officers for the HS2 joint venture, with checks required to staff accessing via multiple entrances.

The Halo Shield Pod and Pod Lite Systems are positioned at every entrance to ensure every single person entering the building is properly scanned – to create safer working environments.

Critical Infrastructure

Red CCTV have installed Halo Shield Pod One or Pod Lites at ten venues for Balfour Beatty VINCI.

The joint venture is a long-established joint venture between two global leaders in the delivery of critical infrastructure.

They have been working together for more than 30 years, delivering prestigious projects that have included the Channel Tunnel.

Together, Balfour Beatty and VINCI have more than 16,000 supply chain partners in the UK alone and have projects together around the world.

They are responsible for designing and building part of HS2, the most exciting and challenging railway project in Europe.

The HS2 project will cost around £88 million and will be Britain’s second major high-speed rail line. It follows HS1, which connects London to the Channel Tunnel. HS2 will connect London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Leeds.

The work in the West Midlands will require a huge civil infrastructure project including 42 viaducts totalling more than 11km, 66 over-bridges more than 25 cuttings over 30km.

It will also include 56 culverts and other under-bridges, 66 embankments reaching over 33km, and four motorway crossings requiring box strictures with six interfaces.
